18.30 Meeting in the hotel lobby with Goldsmiths for an evening meal. Discussion of the program. Introduction to Goldsmiths. Dinner at 19.30 at Meze Mangal (245 Lewisham, way SE4 1XF). Transport St John's rail/Lewisham rail/DLR.

Tuesday May 3rd

09.00  Information about SIG, Special Interest Groups. In breakfast room.      

09:15 – 12:00 Site visits in preparation for the afternoon workshop with Alex Wilkie & Tobie Kerridge. To be carried out in the theme groups. Theme groups will go to different sites and departure is from the hotel.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch with site visit groups.

13:00 – 14:00 How do you perform your thesis? A talk by Kat Jungnickel.

14:00 – 14:30 Coffee break

14:30 – 17:30 Site Issues to Design Proposals Workshop with Alex Wilkie & Tobie Kerridge.

Wednesday May 4th

9:00 – 10:00 Reflections on the workshop Discussion.

10:00 – 10.15 Coffee break

10:15 – 12:00 Sociological Materials. Workshop with Nina Wakeford & Michael Guggenheim.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch at Goldsmiths.

13:00 – 14:30 The Logic of Research Through Design. A talk by Bill Gaver. Interaction Research Studio, 6th Floor, Ben Pimlott Building.

14:30 – 15:00 Coffee break

15:00 – 16:30 Theme groups discussions Group Discussion.

16:30 – 18:00 Ludic Action Research: Pattern and Opportunity in Design & Social Science. A talk by Mike Michael. Interaction Research Studio, 6th Floor. Ben Pimlott Building.

Thursday May 5th

9:00 – 10:30 In search for future design research. Or let us invent it! Workshop (parallel to a management meeting). L211 (Hexagon), Lockwood Building, Goldsmiths.

10:30 – 11:00 Coffee break

11:00 Visits in smaller groups to other design schools, museums and companies. We have a few suggestions (to be announced soon W&A, Design museum, Tate modern, RCA, Participle, Young foundation, etc), but feel free to suggest and also take direct contacts yourselves. Departure.
